STREAM: Bob Mould - The Descent
Known to many as the guitarist in Hüsker Dü, Bob Mould's recent output has mostly revolved around his group founded after that one: Sugar. Not only is Mould playing Sugar's debut, Copper Blue, live in honor of its 20th anniversary, he has said his upcoming record follows in its steps. This first tune released from Silver Age (out September 4 on Merge) definitely sports a Sugar dynamic – Mould's singing and guitar-playing furious and sweet in a way that '90s alternative music perfected.
