Michna and us go back. As far back as 2008, when he let loose Magic Monday; a horn-laden, push/kick electronica album that made me wax poetic on what it might feel like to drive a stolen Delorean home. Four years later and we are still woozy, this time on “Wanted Exotic.” The preview for his new EP (coming to you in September) is decidedly dancier, housier, funkier. Holding more big bass, strengthened by more ‘floor-loving, synthy twists and turns. But it is no less wistful than his hypnotic tracks of old. Today, reasons to grin, to drive, to sweat…Michna be thy name.
