Called "Howard 2 Hands" because its signature rhythm was developed with, well, two hands while waiting for the A Train at the Howard Beach stop near JFK airport, Callers clearly know how to turn leisure moments into polyrhythmic pop. This one is more than a little jerky, with off-kilter clicks, worldly guitar and enough textured layers to confuse as if multiple songs are happening at once. The Brooklyn duo's third album, Reviver, is coming October 9 via Partisan.
