Solos pairs Hella guitarist Spencer Seim with musician Aaron Ross, who previously played guitar on Hella's 2007 album There's No 666 In Outer Space. Together, the duo crafts psych-laden art rock full of noodling guitar riffs and static-laced melodies. “Carpe Diem,” a track from the group’s Guy Massey-produced debut Beast Of Both Worlds (out September 11 via Joyful Noise), is a buoyant, propulsive number that features some of the best guitar wheedling of late.
