Released on the heels of her recent debut album, Vows, New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra’s new remix EP features four takes that span several different subgenres of electronic music. The freebie includes remixes from Brenmar, George Fitzgerald, Benjamin Damage and Owsey and has a bit of something for everyone. My personal favorite comes from NY-based producer Brenmar. Focusing heavily on the instrumental part of the track, Brenmar layers vocals over a rumbling bass drum-and-clap percussion. He creates a big band jazz atmosphere that could arguably be considered more effective than the original production.
