Animal Kingdom, a London trio that recently inked a deal with Mom+Pop Records in the States, makes seriously addictive music, as evidenced by the band’s second album The Looking Away. The effort, previously released digitally and out on actual CD in July, collects layered indie-pop songs that manage to be both emotionally thoughtful and sonically upbeat. “Get Away With It” is a danceable, evocative number that requires repeated listens. Best of all, the group is about to head out on its first real U.S. tour.
