Young Governor, a solo outlet for Fucked Up guitarist Ben Cook, recently recorded an EP with backing band The Scuzz (hence the temporarily shifted band name). Titled A Love Too Strong and recorded with Steve Chahley, it will be out July 31 via Southpaw Records, but you can check out “Heal Over Time” now. The track, an urgent rocker with an infectious pop sensibility, is like if a pop band recorded fuzzy garage rock.
