SoCal rock band Audacity will release its follow-up to the 2009 album Power Drowning on July 10 via Burger/Recess Records. The LP, titled Mellow Cruisers, pairs punk rock inclinations with more melodic alt-rock tendencies, coming in somewhere between Weezer and The Replacements. “Garza Girls” is the first track to emerge from the album – a boisterous rocker that leans more heavily on the alt side than the punk one, offering a slick chorus and propulsive melody.
