In 2009, electro-wizard Dan Deacon took his mind-melting symphonic structures to new cacophonous heights with Bromst. If "Lots" is any indication, his amazingly-titled new one, America, will give ears across the land much to unpack on August 28. Typical of Deacon, "Lots" culls upon much rhythmic layering through which emerge pounding synths and his scrambled vocals. "One choice to make," he repeats, in a chorus seemingly antithetical to the song's title yet just what you'd expect from him.
