PLAYLIST: Roots Picnic 2012
Come June 2-3 at the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, iconic hip-hop ensemble The Roots will throw their fifth annual summer gathering. It's called The Roots Picnic, and the lineup spans some of the best-and-brightest (not to mention classics) in both hip-hop and dance music. Highlights will include two performances by The Roots, and the band will also back De La Soul and Rakim, who will perform his influential masterpiece Paid In Full. Other performances will come from Diplo, Major Lazer, James Murphy (DJ set), Tune-Yards, Flosstradamus, Wale, Danny Brown, Kid Cudi and much more.
