When I heard Kool Keith had a newbie out, I wanted it before I even had the privilege of listening to the 20-year-vet’s basketball-referencing, drop-top spookfest “Extra Thoughts” featuring The I.M.O. Now, I can’t un-hear it, and I like that. Minimal production, snare kicks, greenlit phase and K’s trademark Bronx rumbling mumble is gonna keep this one on repeat for days. As will this interview of the man talking dirty about pioneering horrorcore, pornocore and other unmentionables (like the unreleased track “I’m Pissin’ Hard”) to Kool A.D. of Das Racist.
