STREAM: Metric - Youth Without Youth

Metric will self-release its fifth album, Synthetica, on June 12, but in case you can’t wait that long the New York band revealed the record’s first single today. “Youth Without Youth," which was produced by the band’s guitarist Jimmy Shaw, is a rollicking, shimmery rock number. The song, which Metric has been slowly revealing via lyrics on its website, is compelling and hooky, driven by singer Emily Haines' croon and a notably catchy guitar line. It’s hard to decide if this makes it easier or harder to wait for the whole album.
