DOWNLOAD: Purity Ring - Obedear
Purity Ring is one of the best bands I’ve ever seen (and I’ve thrown a bottle through Tupac’s ghost). On “Obedear,” the newest leak off of their forthcoming debut Shrines (the latest in a year-long seepage including “Lofticries,” “Belispeak” and “UnGirthed”), they prove amazing yet again with their patented brand of purgatory pop. A ticking hip-hop beat and strains of screwed-down vocals aspirate beneath the cooling surface of this one, as glassy and unnerving as always. A hundred bucks says it’ll be as great live as it is in your earbuds.
