Youngblood Hawke was formed after the dissolution of Iglu & Hartly, the former band of musicians Sam Martin and Simon Katz, back in 2009. The group released its self-titled debut EP in March of 2011 and plans to follow this April with a new LP via Universal Republic. “Dannyboy,” a rollicking track from both the EP and the upcoming album, will give a taste of the band’s propulsive rock sensibilities with its driving chorus and surging layers.
