New York rock band The Gay Blades will release a new two-song EP this month, which was recorded with producer Pete Wade. The tracks, which will also be features on a vinyl re-issue of the group’s 2008 first effort Ghosts, continue the band’s self-proclaimed “trash pop” aesthetic, although they are perhaps more brooding than that term implies. “Just Kids” is the EP’s B-side – a bittersweet, sparse rocker imbued with a sense of ache. So basically, perfect for Valentine’s Day.
