Los Angeles indie rock band The Jealous Sound formed back in 2000, releasing an album and an EP before calling it quits in 2005. The group reunited in 2009 and has now come to the table with its second full-length album, A Gentle Reminder. “Promise of the West” is a pensive rocker that recalls the band’s early success while still offering proof that almost a decade has elapsed. In other words, I'm glad The Jealous Sound is back.
