PREMIERE: Mansions On The Moon - Athens
You may be familiar with L.A.’s Mansions On The Moon since their bright pounding of Foster The People. Or you may yet not be, and thus be asking yourself what may come gushing out of their well-aimed squirt guns. In the Pharrell Williams-produced “Athens,” the answer is harmonic shoegaze pop swirled around a blanket of space pops, fuzz synths and finally, the unmistakable smack of live drumkits and guitars. Do you have a road trip to Venus coming up? Because this is the soundtrack to it. Light Years is the name of the band’s EP, and it will take you that far away.
