PREMIERE: Fauna - Hongo x Hongo

In case there were doubts, yes, Fauna is as fun as their ridiculous neon headdresses. Sounding like Cumbia rave gods on “Hongo x Hongo,” the feathered duo makes a nice primer for the house from which they come: the Argentinian experimental dance collective ZZK, which itself sprang from a series of club nights at notorious Buenos Aires venue Club Niceto in 2006, which in turn led the label to Mad Decent and Coachella gigs. Now that the party’s gone global, Fauna’s new LP Manshines is available stateside through Waxploitation. So toss off your shoes, grab a Ziploc full of mango juice and get stepping.
