After much research, I've decided there are two main issues with Christmas songs: They're either half-hearted attempts for Internet traffic in the barren last two weeks of the year or over-orchestrated messes where well-intentioned groups do their best over tunes we've heard a few dozen too many times. So, why does "Where Would We Be Without Christmas" by Cold War Kids succeed? Probably because it's the chillest Christmas song in recent memory. I would actually consider throwing this one on while sitting on a beach in July.
