More than two years after the group's debut, Miike Snow is indeed back. Here, they lead-up to official singles in January with the track "Devil's Work" – a serious, cinematic march that does its title well. Andrew Wyatt's haunting vocals narrate the song's sharp swells, while hooks jet from all corners and resolute melodies are backed by horns and piano compressed to knife-like sharpness. I also see expansive, dying land – imagery the band uses in this lone-man-on-the-highway film accompaniment to the song. Really, if your heart still beats, it should be anticipating the group's still-untitled album, which comes early next year via Downtown.
