PREMIERE: Psychobuildings - Terror Management (MNDR DCC Train Remix)
The fact that dance music is rather sexy at its core, and likely began only so that its producers could get laid, is madly undervalued. As if it’s some sort of mechanical or musical failing to admit that yes, this is really just supposed to sound like two bodies sweating together, and to not only include, but rejoice in, big bass pumps, staccato gasping, the snap of a snare against something soft and movable, and rushed whispering breakdowns! Brooklyn’s Psychobuildings didn’t have such Puritanical hang-ups in the original “Terror Management,” and they sure don’t have any now that MNDR’s Peter Wade and Amanda Warner have slipped on rubber gloves and massaged it into a sticky puddle of groans and beats. Do what nature intended and go half on a baby to it, and the other tunes on the All Hands Electric EP, ready and waiting here.
