PREMIERE: Lissy Trullie - Madeleine
Yes, Lissy Trullie has taken her time recording songs for her debut LP, but if "Madeleine" is any indication, that patience and time developing her craft have really paid off. This one is a midtempo churner set to a bluesy vamp that nails the vibe of Velvet Underground's self-titled record. It's very New York; very late night with buzzing distortion, Trullie's endearing deadpan and distant, galloping drums flickering away like a street light. Trullie's LP is coming soon from Downtown.
