Deer Tick’s new album, Divine Providence, is a raucous, beer-drenched effort, clad with a track called “Let’s All Go To The Bar.” But “Miss K,” the closing number of the Providence, RI rock band’s fourth album, truly showcases frontman John McCauley’s songwriting prowess. The acoustic number is equally introspective and rowdy – a thoughtful love/sex song that maintains the boisterous, roughshod nature of the record on which it resides. In other words, it’s kind of like a dirtied-up Neil Young.
