Zebra & Snake is a new wave duo that I’m convinced are David Bowie’s secret Finnish nephews who spend their days threshing wheat and their nights keyboard battling atop ice floes. You could be convinced too, listening to the dark and twinkly rush of “Empty Love Song”—which itself is not so empty, but thick with cloudy synths and low-throated vocals. Ridiculous rumors (that I’m starting) aside, Zebra & Snake’s upcoming album should be a whole lot of gothic pop fun when it lands in ears in 2012, and when we have more of it, so will you.
