New Look have been knocking around at the edges of my consciousness for a while now. Whereas most bands tend to bounce off of my consciousness and drift off to happier climes, New Look have hung around. Why? Is it because their name's the same as a chain of ridiculously clammy and BORING female clothing stores I was dragged around endlessly as a child? Is it because, in spite of that, they are themselves so stylishly dressed? Or is it because "Janet" is a weird mix of deep house, UK garage and disco-not-disco? I recks the latter, mates. Best get up on this one.
