Gauntlet Hair, a Denver duo, often sounds like its playing alone in the middle of a cave, ripping icicles off the walls while wearing sly smiles. "Keep Time" is our first taste (and the first track) of the band's upcoming debut album, and it seems like a mission statement. It's all screaming awashed in ride cymbals, multiplying guitar leads and subterranean bass. Glorious noise, yes, but also with melody that would keep a '90s indie diehard happy.
