PREMIERE: The Good Natured - Wolves (Crystal Fighters Remix)
Crystal Fighters, with their members from Spain and England, and their libertarian approach to genre experimentation, have come to occupy the same space in my mind as the International Brigades that fought Franco's bastards in the Spanish Civil War. Without pausing to consider whether that's foolish or even crass, I'm going to push on with the metaphor and assert that here, with their remix of "Wolves", Crystal Fighters have enlisted The Good Natured to fight the good fight; singer Sarah McIntosh's voice levitating at an exotic new pitch, surrounded by percussive shrapnel in a loose, rag-tag song structure. Not music for fascists.
