First there was Hammerhead—'90s noise-rock champion and stronghold of AmRep Records. Hammerhead disbanded and saw Paul Erickson and Jeff Moordian move to Vaz, where the duo ruled the '00s underground with the same blast-and-go zeal. Picking up guitarist Tyler Nolan, the Brooklynites now move into a third decade with the band's fifth album Chartreuse Bull. "Blockade" is a churning two-minute piece of grime-pop.
