The Berlin-based duo HTRK has a similarly confrontational style to punk legends Suicide, yet the group trades the original's doo-wop Americana for something much colder, slower and foreign on its cover of "Sweetheart (AKA Love You)." Drums and bass plot along slowly while the rest is a smeared, cloudy mess. Unfortunately, we have a feeling this is the sort of love that ends very, very badly. Grab "Sweetheart" and A-side "Eat Yr Heart" on HTRK's first single (limited to 300) promoting its upcoming record Work (work, work) out September 6 on Ghostly.
