It seems standard practice in indie lately to mimic the glory days of mid-nineties Athens, so here’s a question: what happens when the forefathers decide to reunite? If Masters Of The Hemisphere is any indication, all good things. A pop song through and through, “Belushi” is refreshing in its confident approach to what it is, forgoing an excess of effects and sticking to group vocals, handclaps and a catchy little chorus to get the job done. Out this fall on the storied Kindercore, Maybe These Are The Breaks proves that nine years can do a lot for an album... and a glass of wine.
