Alex Winston has one of those voices. Maybe a little Joanna Newsom, maybe some Kate Bush, add a dash of Bjork even, but Winston is a vocal shapeshifter unto herself. Paired with the constantly-churning remixers RAC, Winston's new EP single, "Velvet Elvis," becomes a breezy, bell-laden dance track that showcases her multi-octave pipes. You know those scenes in a Wes Anderson movie when a character is walking in slow motion and the music is all cute and perfect? This is made for that.
