This track, courtesy of Brooklyn-based rappers Sentence and Swell, goes out to the nightwalkers, the restless and those who, by will or by force, get their best work done after dark. Under the moniker Metermaids, the duo have dropped several EPs and their upcoming September 6 album Rooftop Shake (via Strange Famous Records) boasts production from the legendary 9th Wonder on five out of ten tracks. On this departure from his smooth beat work, 9th injects the album’s lead single “Graveyard Shift” with a dose of shock therapy, dominated by an energizing electric guitar infusion that can rival any caffeine buzz.
