PREMIERE: WATERS - O Holy Break Of Day
After hearing WATERS for the first time two months ago, Van Pierszalowski of Port O'Brien returns with another memorable indie hymnal called "O Holy Break Of Day." Taking a near-religious bent to the title and chorus, WATERS could actually be referring to an infectious, spiritual use of electric guitar. He intones over a sturdy, pounding drumbeat while the song slowly crescendos to a trebly six-string explosion. Again, Pierszalowski reminds us of brethren rockers from the '90s, mixing sharp melodies, sophisticated writing and powerful lyrics while making it all seem easy. WATERS' debut, Out In The Light, is out September 20 on TBD Records.
