To continue the alliteration, Bobby Burg is a busy boy. The veteran bassist of Joan Of Arc, this is also the seventh full-length Burg has released under solo moniker Love Of Everything. The title track from Sooner I Wish is a fitting introduction to the release, a stripped-down melody with Burg's subtle pop sensibilities leading the charge. Recorded live with a loop pedal and Matt Holden on drums, it balances lo-fi leanings with a sense of warmth—quite the feat considering the lyrics are mostly inspired by the singer's recent divorce. It's a juxtaposition that makes for a catchy, provoking 7-inch, out today on Polyvinyl.
