PREMIERE: Big Eyes - Pretend To Care
I once really loved a band called Cheeky. As with all good things, however, Cheeky's time came to an end, and I was left with a void only Kate Eldridge's voice could fill. Clever and punk and fun (and lucky for me), she has transferred all these qualities right along to her latest endeavor, Seattle three-piece Big Eyes. Packing up strong New Brunswick and Brooklyn roots, the band is bringing its breed of guitar rock to join some good company out west. "Pretend To Care" is the perfect send-off, a mix of New Jersey basement punch and fun as hell pop to show Washington what's what. Pick-up debut LP Hard Life on Don Giovanni August 16.
