Chrome Sparks, the solo project of 20-year-old Jeremy Malvin from Ann Arbor, provides yet another example of a new generation that has come of age with a deep understanding of hip-hop and dance production as well as indie rock songwriting. His new EP, the tweely-named My <3, is represented here by "All There Is" -- a song of 808 drum machine flips and clipped sampledelic vocals spliced into microtonal dots that dance around with clanging bells.
