I can't really think of anything negative to say about sing-alongs. They're easy to learn, painless to have stuck in your head and fun as hell at shows. New Jersey seems to have a stronghold on this art, and natives The Front Bottoms have officially joined the ranks. "Maps" is essentially one giant hook, going full-on pop without giving into fluff. Think Mountain Goats if John Darnielle was raised on a strict diet of pop punk. Catch the duo's self-titled LP September 6 on Bar/None.
