With a title like "Drug" and a band like Austin's White Denim, you know things are going to start-off psychedelic and never look back. The track, from the group's recent D full-length, gets even more tripped-out by Bjorn Yttling from Peter, Bjorn and John on this remix. Here, the original's droning organ takes on a bigger, pricklier presence, while the band's vocal and lyrical style, plucked straight from a late-'60s garage, is all about "the things we'll say for drugs." They hover over a hypnotic guitar chug, electric squeals and driving tambourine, clouding the sonic field until everything peaks and reaches a certain rock 'n' roll clarity.
