Remember Just a number 05272011? Well the secretive new group with the tortured songs that sound a bit like The Knife are called Battlekat now. Truth be told, they could have come out calling themselves 'Bombay' or 'Not Scandinavia' and it still would have been obvious where they were from. This version of "He Didn't Want A Love Song" has been remixed by Bristol's Hyetal, but his involvement in no way disguises the social experiment that's being conducted the length and breadth of Scandinavia, whereby children are sent out naked into the ice forests with their hearts chemically burst and their larynges rigged up to anti-smoking FX pedals, and then told that membership of the school choir is a necessary requisite for the continuation of their own lives. As a 25-year-old living hundreds of miles away, I can safely say that—if this is the kind of thing that results from such experiments—I'm all for them.
