The thing I love most about UK bass producer Untold is that his music shouldn't make sense. In fact, that's why I've resorted to labelling him as a "bass producer", rather than a producer of post-dubstep or whatever other derangement of dance music is en vogue this week. The music he makes is rhythmic and strange, but beyond that, it's near-enough unclassifiable. The music he makes with Samuel Chase, the man behind Samuel and the Dragon, makes more sense for the presence of a lead vocal, but that in itself doesn't make sense, because I just played "Anaconda" and "Diamonds On A Boat" at the same time and it felt like my brain was on fire. I'm confused—I'm confused, but I'm happy, and that's OK because soon you will be too, once you've let this creeping snippet of electronic soul hug your ears like a violent kiss from a total stranger. Its slobber won't leave, so best get it in: Dreadnought's debut Caroline EP, available to pre-order now.
