There's a blankness to this French Fries remix of "Into You" that makes me feel like a very small child. Not because I was raised by emotionally unresponsive parents or anything, just because it's difficult, it's hard to read, as the world is hard to read for someone with a brain a quarter the size of a real human's. It also reminds me of the UK garage that was single-handedly trying to make music interesting around the end of the 90s, even though I wasn't aware of what it was or if I liked it, and Greenmoney's original spins somewhere closer to funky house than it does to UKG. I guess this here, for me, is where all that shit comes together in such a way that I am powerless to stop its hopscotching snares and confused synth peels from jacking my nervous system. Thank heavens clubland's eternal, anonymous diva is there to calm things down. This is out alongside the original and other remixes from Funkystepz and Cubic Zirconia on July 11.
