Woods, perhaps the least Brooklyn-sounding Brooklyn band, reaches for a loose mixture of guitar interplay and careening falsetto vocals on the breezy "Pushing Onlys." A selection from its new album Sun & Shade, which is available now from the band's in-house label Woodsist, this incarnation of Woods has maintained its low-key, sloppy charm while tightening songwriting instincts towards accessible maturity.
