Never in my life have I been confronted with anything exactly like the music Anti-G makes. I've heard stuff that it sort of sounds like—the synths shimmer alien like those at the spacier end of Jam City's beat spectrum, while the rhythms shuffle on like they do in funky house—but there's a disturbing mania to "Crack the Glass!" that sets the Dutch 18-year-old's music apart. Maybe it's just that I don't listen to music made by Dutch 18-year-olds enough. But then who does? On the evidence of this, we all should, at least until we have a basic working knowledge of the "bubbling" scene-lineage that Caribbean immigrants have been forging in Holland since the late 80s.
