"Pumped Up Kicks," the smash single by Los Angeles band Foster The People, is riding its way to summer jam status for 2011. This, of course, means that it needs a remix fit for yacht riding, and Chrome Canyon has come through with just that. Slowing down the original, this version has the feel of a delightfully warped '80s pop hit. Strong major chords, subtle slap bass, brassy synthesizers and an inescapable chorus melody blend together into a languid foam -- a chilled-out second take.
