Teddy Briggs is hungry. The drummer and self-taught producer (who performs as Appetite) has taken his taste for electronics and tropicalia and served up "Fiery Ring," a fitting scramble of Johnny Cash's original. Slowing it down island-style, Briggs adds mellow vocals to compliment the layers of drum work driving the track. It is well-polished and balmy and a fine teaser for the song writer's upcoming LP Scattered Smothered Covered, out August 16 on Crossbill.
