DOWNLOAD: GusGus - Over (Radio Edit)
Back in the day, people used to dance like this. Everyone's seen this video, right? They should have, because it's fantastic. Somewhere along the line, though, people realised that dance music didn't just have to move you externally, it could get your inners working too. And that's the dance lineage that Kompakt's GusGus belong to; one that's made more for the motion of invisible parts than making arms and legs flail in ways that would make no sense without music. "Over" starts as something looming, becomes something driving, and then it pounds, and then it chants, and then it collapses. It's sort of like if the Juan Maclean's "Happy House" fell apart, and it's taken from GusGus' new album Arabian Horse, out now through that aforementioned label of no little esteem.
