DOWNLOAD: Dynasty Electric – Radiation
"Radiation" rests where psychedelia meets murder, grime and the open road. Yet instead of the usual motorik driving beat, Brooklyn group Dynasty Electric rips its fuzz over a stuttering rumble that bypasses Easy Rider for hip-hop. It's a novel combination that caught the ear of rap impresario Damon Dash. He recently released the band's debut album, Golden Arrows, through his personal BluRoc Records and paired the group with in-house producer Ski Beatz to supply enough low end theatrics to hook clubgoers. Centered around the duo of Jenny Electrik and Seth Misterka, this one is sure to please fans of electro, the art-meets-street punk of Le Tigre and hip-hop.
