The song would be in danger of being nothing more than a gimmick if it weren't for the terrific performance by North Carolina MC Stranger Day, who flows smoothly through the beat when he's not stopping mid-verse, shifting the tempo of his recitation in either direction, or altering his syncopation. While that may sound complex, the track is totally accessible, all the more incredible considering the atonal noise of the beat's source and the technical showmanship of the MC.
