Freshkills seem, at times, like a full orchestra on “Bigger Man.” The reverb-drenched staccato guitar in combination with the heavy bass, the cacophony that opens the song, sounds more like a string quartet than a rock band. “Bigger Man,” in turn, is about as theatrical as punk songs come, either the most sarcastic eulogy of all time—for the bigger man in question—or the least sentimental: “Show some respect, show some respect! He did what fat comedians do: he died!” Show some respect, indeed.
