The first time we went to Europe, we were twelve and too scared to buy shrooms while our parents were at lunch, so we took some freak with blond dreads up on his offer of a magic cassette. He said if we played it with our eyes closed, we’d transcend our body and see the future. Had he given us this enormous L-Vis 1990 and The Neon Dreams redux, off the freshly-pressed Round Table Knights Remix EP, it might have worked. “Paparussi” manages to be both supple and blade-sharp as it folds milky vocals and drummy rave melodies into a warm, white pulse.
